In an effort to create something that stands out from the sea of copy cat bands, Los, Mikey, Jake and B-Low began to write songs, pulling from a range of styles. In order to capture a live vibe the foursome recorded & mixed 11 songs in five days, the result in an energetic mix of songs that range from metal to punk rock. The most resent addition to the record is a song called FU-1070, a song written around Arizona's controversial immigration law. Other songs have been written about the law but few capture the passion surrounding it like this one. Their song 'Raise Some Hell' won rock wars song of the year for 2010 on Arizona's #1 rock radio station, 98 KUPD FM. Gift of Destiny debuted opening for Punk Thrash legends D.R.I. to an enthusiastic crowd which solidified the direction and street credibility of the band. They have since shared the stage with Rev Theory, Red Line Chemistry and Helmet.

“Once in a while you run across something that just feels right musically. With the overabundance and subdivision of the music world it's refreshing to find something that does not conform to what anyone expects and yet is everything you expected. Finding that balance takes skill. Gift of Destiny has that skill in spades. You'll find everything from rock punk to thrash metal influences here but ultimately you'll find that G.O.D. has a unique sound. You can try to categorize this but listen well and it'll change. The musicianship is exceptional and the lyricism meaningful in a band that is prepared to change the game. Game on.”~ Omar, Society Syndicate
“Blunt as a sledge hammer & almost as heavy. Weapons grade riffage and a Live-centric attack, Gift of Destiny could fill an Ozzfest slot.”~ Music Connection magazine
